GM Punjabi Warranty Terms
Grantee’s rights & other conditions
- Within the warranty period, the Grantee is entitled to replacement parts, including labour, free of cost, if the said costs of repair/replacement arise from an inherent manufacturer’s defect/vice.
- During the first year of warranty, the Grantor shall provide to the Grantee, free transportation for all products. Subsequently, as from the second year of warranty, the Grantor shall levy a transportation cost.
- In the event that the Grantor is unable to repair the product within the “24 working hours” period, a Goods-on-loan (subject to the separate terms and conditions of the “Goods-on-loan” contract) may be allowed to the Grantee. Upon delivery of the Goods-on-loan, the Grantor shall be relieved of the obligations under the “24-working-hours” warranty.
- The Grantor reserves the right to dispose of the product should the Grantee fail to collect the said product within a delay of 45 (forty-five) days following notification for collection, irrespective of whether the product is under warranty or otherwise.
- Unless otherwise agreed between the Grantor and Grantee, the Grantor reserves the right, where applicable, to collect from the Grantee the sum due prior to any such repair.
- The warranty does not extend to the compatibility of certain media input devices which may be used with certain media/audio/video products.
- The Grantee shall, at all times during the warranty period, ensure that his/her contact details are known to the Grantor.
- Upon purchase, you agree to receive marketing information.
- The Grantor shall endeavour, in good faith, to resolve any dispute arising out of the warranty and in the event that such dispute remains unresolved through amicable negotiation/settlement, any judicial proceeding shall be determined by the appropriate court(s) of the Republic of Mauritius.
The warranty shall be valid en enforceable provided that
- This Warranty Card is returned to the Grantor within 15 (fifteen) days from purchase from an approved dealer.
- The product purchased has been properly installed and used for the purpose for which such product has been designed and manufactured, and that the warranty seal and/or serial seal has not been tampered with.
- Any product malfunction whatsoever is not the result of misuse, alteration, tampering, modification, improper and/or inadequate maintenance.
- The damage and/or malfunction of the product is not caused by accident and/or an act of God.
- The warranty on any product does not extend to bulbs, plugs, power cords, bowls, glass, lids, handles, couplers, batteries, battery box, belt, cabinet parts, rubber parts, metal steel, remote control, blades, burners, gaskets, jar, and any other accessories which come together with the product.
- The damage is not caused by the presence of a foreign body in the product such as insects, reptiles, dust, rusting and oxidation.
- Such damage does not result from defects or parts requiring replacement due to ordinary wear and tear, corrosion, stains, scratches, dents or paint.
- The warranty is limited to work on the actual product and not to any information, document and/or data lost as a result of whatsoever defect.
- The warranty on any battery which comes as an accessory to the product is limited to 6 (six) months from the date of purchase.
- The warranty is valid in Mauritius only and governed by the laws of Mauritius.
- This warranty is not transferable and extends only to the original retail purchaser and is only valid when supplied with proof of purchase.
- The Grantor reserves the right to determine if warranty terms and conditions have been met.
- The warranty does not cover consequential loss.
- The warranty does not cover power fluctuation.
